This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") explains what you may and may not do when accessing or using any FPV School property, including websites, tools, communities, courses, downloads, and related services (the "Services").
This AUP is designed to protect users, the public, and the stability and integrity of the FPV School ecosystem. If you do not agree to this AUP, do not use the Services.
This AUP forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms & Conditions. Where this AUP is stricter than a general description elsewhere, this AUP applies to use of the Services.
1. Who this applies to
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to anyone who accesses, visits, or uses any FPV School property, including our websites, tools, communities, courses, downloads, and related services (the "Services"), whether or not you have an account.
This includes (non-exhaustive):
- visitors, readers, and viewers of content;
- registered users and account holders (where available);
- community members and contributors (where available);
- customers purchasing or accessing digital products or services (where available);
- anyone submitting content, uploads, messages, forms, comments, or requests.
If you use the Services on behalf of a business, organisation, team, or other entity, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to this AUP, and you are responsible for ensuring that anyone using the Services through your account or access also complies with it.
For clarity, this AUP applies regardless of the device, location, or connection method used to access the Services.
2. Key principles
You must use the Services:
- lawfully and in good faith;
- respectfully, without harassment, intimidation, or abuse;
- safely and responsibly, especially where FPV/drone-related content, equipment, or real-world activity is involved;
- in a way that does not compromise the security, integrity, or availability of the Services.
You are responsible for your conduct and for any content you submit. You must not rely on the Services (including any guides, community posts, or tools) as a substitute for complying with applicable laws, aviation/drone rules, safety guidance, and manufacturer instructions.
3. Acceptable use (what is allowed)
You may use the Services for legitimate, non-abusive purposes, including to:
- browse, read, and share links to FPV School pages in a reasonable way;
- create an account and use available features as intended (where available);
- learn from educational materials for personal training and legitimate educational purposes;
- contact us with genuine questions, feedback, or support requests;
- participate in community areas respectfully and within the applicable rules and guidelines (where available);
- report security issues or misuse responsibly (see the "Reporting misuse" section).
Acceptable use does not grant you ownership of FPV School content or any right to copy, republish, scrape, or commercially exploit the Services beyond what is explicitly permitted by law or by the relevant terms/licences.
4. Prohibited use (what is not allowed)
You must not use the Services in any way that is unlawful, harmful, unsafe, abusive, misleading, or that interferes with the security, integrity, or availability of the Services. The examples below are not exhaustive.
Where this policy refers to "content", it includes anything you submit, post, upload, transmit, or otherwise make available through the Services (including messages, posts, comments, files, media, links, and code).
4.1 Illegal activity and regulatory breaches
You must not use the Services to:
- break any applicable law, regulation, or binding requirement (including aviation/drone rules and safety regulations);
- facilitate or encourage unlawful drone operation (for example: flying in prohibited airspace, unsafe proximity to people/traffic, operating without required permissions, or interfering with emergency services);
- enable trespass, stalking, harassment, or unlawful surveillance (including using FPV equipment to observe private property or individuals without permission);
- buy, sell, or promote illegal goods or services, or enable criminal activity;
- evade or bypass age restrictions, access controls, paywalls, or permission systems;
- use the Services to coordinate, advertise, or recruit for unlawful or harmful acts.
4.2 Harm, harassment, hate, and exploitation
You must not:
- harass, threaten, intimidate, bully, defame, or abuse any person or group;
- encourage or glorify violence, self-harm, or cruelty;
- publish hateful or discriminatory content (including content targeting protected characteristics);
- share sexually explicit, exploitative, or abusive material, including any content involving minors;
- target, shame, or "mob" individuals, including through doxxing, brigading, or dogpiling;
- repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop, or attempt to evade blocks or moderation actions.
4.3 Dangerous FPV/drone conduct and safety-critical misuse
FPV School content is educational and general in nature. You must not use the Services to:
- plan, coordinate, promote, or normalise unsafe or illegal flying (including reckless "send it" culture that puts people, property, vehicles, or animals at risk);
- request or share instructions intended to cause harm, enable wrongdoing, or bypass safety/legal constraints;
- share guidance that is knowingly unsafe (for example: dangerous LiPo charging/storage practices, disabling safety protections, or reckless operational advice);
- encourage flying while impaired, distracted, or in a manner that increases risk to the public;
- promote the use of drones for harassment, intimidation, or surveillance.
Safety note: If your use involves real-world flight or hardware, you are solely responsible for ensuring safe operation and legal compliance. Always follow applicable aviation rules and manufacturer safety instructions.
4.4 Security violations, hacking, and malicious activity
You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services, systems, networks, servers, databases, or user accounts;
- probe, scan, or test for vulnerabilities, except where we have explicitly authorised you in writing (for example, a documented security programme);
- use the Services to distribute malware, spyware, ransomware, keyloggers, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or exfiltrate data;
- attempt to bypass or defeat authentication, anti-spam, rate limits, paywalls, security controls, or content protections;
- interfere with, reverse-engineer, or exploit third-party integrations in a way that compromises security;
- submit content designed to break, degrade, or manipulate systems (including prompt-injection attempts against AI tools where relevant).
4.5 Service abuse, scraping, and disruption
You must not:
- overload, spam, or disrupt the Services, including by denial-of-service behaviour, request flooding, or abusive automation;
- use bots, scripts, or automation to create accounts, post content, interact, or extract data in a way that is unreasonable, harmful, or contrary to our technical protections;
- scrape, crawl, or mass-download content in a way that:
- degrades performance,
- circumvents access restrictions,
- copies substantial parts of the Services, or
- violates robots.txt or other published technical signals (where applicable);
- use the Services or UGC to train or fine-tune external AI models or datasets without our written permission, especially where this involves bulk extraction or re-publication.
- attempt to manipulate engagement or ranking signals (for example: fake likes, fake votes, or artificial traffic);
- repeatedly attempt actions after being blocked, rate-limited, or otherwise restricted.
4.6 Intellectual property, content theft, and unlawful distribution
You must not:
- infringe FPV School's intellectual property rights or the rights of others (copyright, trademarks, database rights, trade secrets, etc.);
- upload, share, or distribute content you do not have the legal right to use, copy, or publish;
- republish, mirror, or repackage FPV School content in a way that substitutes for the original (including copying entire articles, course materials, downloads, or structured databases);
- remove watermarks, attribution, paywalls, or access controls;
- use the Services to distribute pirated software, keys, cracked tools, or unlawful copies of digital products.
If you believe your intellectual property is being infringed, see:
/legal/ip-copyright-takedown
4.7 Impersonation, misrepresentation, and misleading content
You must not:
- impersonate FPV School, our staff, moderators, representatives, or other users;
- misrepresent your identity, credentials, affiliations, location, or experience in a deceptive way;
- create confusion about what is official FPV School guidance or policy;
- publish fabricated "official" statements, fake screenshots, fake endorsements, or deceptive claims;
- deliberately spread misinformation that is likely to cause harm (including safety-related or regulatory misinformation).
4.8 Privacy, personal data misuse, and surveillance
You must not:
- collect, scrape, harvest, or attempt to re-identify personal data about users without a lawful basis and appropriate consent/permission;
- share another person's personal data (including contact details, addresses, private messages, or location data) without their permission and a lawful basis;
- doxx, stalk, track, or encourage others to target an individual;
- use the Services to facilitate surveillance of individuals or private spaces, including via drones, cameras, or tracking tools.
4.9 Fraud, scams, and deceptive commercial conduct
You must not:
- use the Services to commit fraud, phishing, account takeover attempts, or identity deception;
- post scam links, fake giveaways, or misleading promotions;
- impersonate brands, retailers, or creators to extract money, personal data, or access;
- run pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick schemes, or other deceptive commercial operations.
4.10 Circumvention, ban evasion, and repeat abuse
You must not:
- attempt to bypass enforcement actions (including by creating new accounts after suspension/termination);
- use alternate accounts, proxies, or other methods to evade restrictions without our written permission;
- encourage others to violate this AUP or to help you circumvent enforcement.
4.11 Content that creates disproportionate risk or liability
Even if something is not explicitly listed above, you must not use the Services to post or request content that we reasonably believe:
- creates a significant safety risk to the public;
- materially increases the risk of unlawful conduct;
- exposes the ecosystem to security threats or severe abuse; or
- undermines the trust and integrity of the community.
We may remove or restrict such content and take enforcement action in line with this policy.
Note: The prohibited uses listed above are examples and are not exhaustive. A use may still breach this AUP even if it is not specifically named, where it is unlawful, unsafe, abusive, deceptive, or otherwise inconsistent with the purpose of the Services.
Reasonable use of the Services means using our websites, tools, communities, and materials in a reasonable, good-faith way - for learning, legitimate participation, and normal browsing - without attempting to exploit, disrupt, manipulate, or repurpose the Services for wrongdoing, harassment, unsafe FPV activity, fraud, or other harmful outcomes.
5. User-generated content (where enabled)
"User-generated content" ("UGC") means anything you submit or make available through the Services, including posts, comments, messages, profile information, files, images, video, links, and any other material ("Content").
5.1 Your responsibility
If you submit UGC, you are responsible for ensuring that your Content:
- is lawful, accurate to the best of your knowledge, and not misleading in a way that could cause harm;
- does not harass, threaten, defame, or abuse others;
- does not promote unsafe FPV/drone behaviour or illegal activity;
- does not infringe third-party rights (copyright, trademarks, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights);
- does not include personal data of others unless you have a lawful basis and permission to share it;
- does not include confidential information you are not authorised to disclose;
- does not contain malware, malicious code, exploit payloads, or instructions intended to compromise security.
5.2 Safety-critical content (FPV / drones / batteries)
Because the Services may include technical and safety-related discussions, you must not post Content that:
- encourages or normalises reckless flying or unsafe LiPo handling;
- promotes illegal operational advice (for example: bypassing legal requirements, prohibited airspace workarounds);
- provides instructions intended to cause harm or enable wrongdoing.
If you share technical information, do so responsibly and include relevant safety warnings where appropriate.
5.3 No guarantee of publication or permanence
We are not obligated to publish, host, or keep any UGC. Content may be removed, hidden, edited for formatting, or restricted at any time, including where:
- it breaches this AUP or other policies;
- it is reported and appears likely to violate rules;
- it creates safety, legal, reputational, or security risk;
- it is spam or low-quality mass posting.
5.4 Moderation and enforcement
We may (but are not required to) monitor, moderate, or review UGC. Moderation decisions may be made by humans and/or automated tools.
We may take actions such as:
- removing or restricting Content;
- limiting posting or feature access;
- suspending or terminating accounts;
- preserving logs or evidence to investigate abuse;
- reporting unlawful activity where appropriate.
We do not undertake a legal obligation to monitor the Services or UGC, and users should not rely on us to catch harmful or unlawful content. However, we may review, moderate, or remove content where practical, and we aim to respond to credible reports in a reasonable way.
5.5 Reporting UGC issues
If you believe UGC violates this AUP or creates safety/security risk, contact:
legal@fpvschool.com
Include the URL, screenshots, and any relevant context.
Note: For intellectual property complaints, see:
/legal/ip-copyright-takedown
Your rights in your UGC are addressed in our Terms & Conditions (including any licence you grant to us to host and display UGC where community features exist).
6. AI tools and automated features (where enabled)
Some FPV School properties may include AI-assisted features (such as an "AI Virtual Expert" or chat tools). These tools are provided for general information and educational purposes and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.
6.1 Prohibited AI use
You must not use AI features to:
- request, generate, or refine instructions intended for wrongdoing, harm, harassment, or unsafe/illegal drone activity;
- submit personal data you do not have the right to share, or attempt to extract personal data about others;
- attempt to bypass safeguards, jailbreak, reverse-engineer, or exploit the AI system;
- submit malicious prompts intended to degrade the system (including prompt-injection attacks);
- spam the AI or use automation to generate excessive requests that degrade service quality.
6.2 Safety and responsibility
You are responsible for verifying AI outputs before acting on them, especially where safety, legal compliance, electronics, batteries (LiPo), or real-world flight is involved.
AI output is not professional advice. If you require professional or regulated advice (legal, medical, financial), you should consult an appropriate qualified professional.
6.3 Content and account enforcement
We may restrict or remove AI-generated content, limit access to AI features, rate-limit requests, or suspend accounts where we reasonably believe:
- the AI tools are being misused;
- outputs are being used to promote unsafe or unlawful behaviour;
- there is elevated risk to safety, security, or the integrity of the ecosystem.
For additional AI-specific terms and limitations, see:/legal/ai-virtual-expert-policy (the page is in draft mode as the tool is not publicly available yet)
7. Enforcement and consequences
We may investigate suspected breaches of this AUP and take action where we reasonably consider it necessary to protect users, the public, FPV safety, the integrity of the community, or the security and availability of the Services.
We will apply this AUP using reasonable judgement and proportionate measures, taking into account context, severity, and risk.
7.1 Possible actions
If we believe you have breached this AUP (or attempted to breach it), we may take one or more of the following actions, with or without notice (depending on severity and risk):
- issue a warning and request changes or clarification;
- remove, hide, restrict, or edit Content (including AI-generated content) where appropriate;
- temporarily limit features (for example: posting, uploads, messaging, or AI tools);
- apply rate limits, anti-abuse controls, or technical restrictions;
- suspend or terminate access, including accounts;
- block IP addresses or other identifiers associated with abuse;
- require verification steps to reduce fraud or repeated abuse;
- preserve any relevant logs or records available to us for investigation and compliance purposes.
7.2 Immediate action (safety/security emergencies)
We may act immediately, without prior notice, where we reasonably believe there is:
- a safety risk to the public (including unsafe drone content or coordination);
- a credible threat, harassment, or targeting of individuals;
- a security incident, malware, exploitation attempt, or system abuse;
- large-scale spam, scraping, or service disruption.
7.3 No obligation to provide service
We are not obligated to provide or continue providing the Services to any person. We may refuse service or remove Content where we reasonably believe it is necessary to prevent harm, reduce risk, or enforce our policies.
Enforcement actions (including removals or suspensions) do not automatically entitle you to a refund, subject to any mandatory rights under applicable law and any specific refund terms that apply to the relevant product/service.
7.4 Appeals and review
Where practical, you may request a review of an enforcement decision by contacting legal@fpvschool.com with:
- your account identifier (if applicable);
- the relevant URLs and context;
- why you believe the decision was incorrect.
We aim to review appeals within a reasonable time, but response times may vary depending on volume and urgency. We may uphold, modify, or reverse decisions at our discretion.
7.5 Repeat or severe breaches
Repeated breaches, attempts to evade enforcement (including ban evasion), or severe misconduct may result in immediate suspension or termination.
8. Reporting misuse
If you see misuse, security issues, safety risks, or policy violations, please contact:
legal@fpvschool.com
To help us investigate quickly, include (where possible):
- the relevant URL(s), page(s), or feature(s);
- a clear description of what happened;
- screenshots, timestamps, usernames, or message IDs (if applicable);
- why you believe it is unsafe, unlawful, abusive, or otherwise in breach.
8.1 Security reports (responsible disclosure)
If you are reporting a security vulnerability:
- do not exploit the vulnerability beyond what is necessary to confirm it exists;
- do not access or download other users' data;
- do not publicly disclose the issue before we have had a reasonable opportunity to investigate.
- do not demand payment, threaten disclosure, or attempt to leverage the issue for extortion.
We may request further details to reproduce and verify the issue.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP to reflect changes in the Services, the ecosystem, technology, or legal requirements. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
Where a change is material and affects active users significantly, we may provide additional notice through reasonable channels (for example, a site notice or email where accounts exist).
