1. What this policy covers
This page explains the cookies and similar technologies currently used across FPV School properties, and the practical controls available today.
2. Our current approach
At the time of this update, FPV School primarily uses cookies and similar technologies for service integrity rather than advertising or behavioural tracking.
That means our current live setup is mainly focused on:
- authentication and session continuity for signed-in services;
- Cloudflare security and abuse prevention;
- short-lived technical state needed to keep access-controlled features working; and
- privacy-focused measurement on supported public domains without analytics cookies.
3. Cookies and similar technologies we currently rely on
3.1 Essential authentication cookies
Signed-in FPV School services can use authentication/session cookies issued by our auth stack. These cookies are needed to keep you signed in securely, maintain session state, and protect sensitive actions.
3.2 Security and anti-abuse cookies
Cloudflare may set security cookies or related challenge state, including cookies used for bot management, abuse prevention, or access validation.
3.3 Similar technologies
Some properties may also use local storage, session storage, or equivalent browser-side state for product functionality, UI preferences, or temporary workflow continuity.
4. Analytics and measurement
FPV School uses a self-hosted, privacy-focused analytics script on supported public domains to understand aggregated traffic and improve reliability and content.
Our current analytics implementation is designed not to set analytics cookies. On fpvschool.com, logged-in users are excluded from that public analytics script.
We do not currently describe this analytics setup as a personalised advertising system, cross-site tracking system, or marketing-cookie program.
5. What we do not currently claim
We do not currently promise that every FPV School property has:
- a universal cookie banner;
- a global cookie settings centre;
- a footer control for reopening consent choices; or
- a full non-essential cookie preference tool across every domain and rollout stage.
If we later introduce non-essential cookie categories or additional consent tooling, we will update this policy and the relevant implementation.
6. Third-party services and embedded content
Some FPV School properties may link to or embed third-party services. If you actively interact with those third-party services, they may use their own cookies or similar technologies under their own notices and controls.
We do not control third-party cookie behaviour once you move into or interact with an external service.
7. Your practical controls today
Your current controls mainly include:
- browser settings to delete or block cookies;
- device or browser privacy settings that limit storage or site data;
- logging out of signed-in services when you no longer need them; and
- avoiding public/shared or third-party features you do not want to use.
Blocking essential cookies may break login, account access, cloud deliveries, library access, and other gated features.
8. Retention
Cookie duration depends on the provider and purpose. Some cookies are session-only, while others can persist for a limited time where required for security or authentication continuity.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if our technology stack, analytics setup, providers, or consent tooling changes. We will update the "Last updated" date when we do.
