This is a master page
This Declaration of Content explains how written content and media across the FPV School Hub ecosystem are created, used, credited, protected, and (where applicable) reused across FPV School properties.
For the master index of legal policies and site-entry links, see:

1. Purpose of this declaration
The purposes of this declaration are to:
- explain how content published across FPV School properties is created and maintained;
- clarify how our content may be reused across FPV School properties under common ownership/control;
- describe our approach to citations, licensed materials, and community input;
- explain how we respond to unauthorised copying (content theft) and how to request permission.
2. What this declaration covers
Unless stated otherwise, this declaration applies to content published or distributed under FPV School properties, including:
- website pages, articles, guides, checklists, and learning resources;
- graphics, images, illustrations, diagrams, and downloadable resources;
- audio and video content produced by FPV School (including scripts, captions, and transcripts where provided);
- newsletters and similar communications (where used);
- other branded materials published within the ecosystem.
It should be read together with:
- Terms & Conditions: /legal/terms-and-conditions
- Privacy Policy: /legal/privacy-policy
- IP Policy / Takedown: /legal/ip-copyright-takedown
- Editorial Process: /legal/editorial-process
- General & FPV Safety Disclaimers: /legal/safety-disclaimers
3. Original written content
Unless explicitly indicated otherwise, written content published across FPV School properties is:
- created by FPV School and/or contributors working under FPV School's editorial control; and/or
- created by the operator or contractors under appropriate agreements.
We do not intentionally copy full articles or substantial portions of text from other websites or publications without:
- a valid licence, permission, or written agreement; and/or
- appropriate attribution where required.
Where we rely on external sources, we typically:
- research and then write in our own words;
- link to sources where it is helpful for transparency and user value; and/or
- use short quotations only where lawful and proportionate.
The absence of a citation does not imply copying; it may simply mean we have integrated research into original writing.
4. Research, accuracy, and citations
We aim to research content to be accurate and up to date as reasonably possible, especially where safety, regulations, or technical configuration is involved.
Sources may include:
- manuals, official documentation, and manufacturer specifications;
- standards, regulations, and guidance relevant to drones and aviation (where applicable);
- reputable industry resources;
- our own testing, experience, and measurement (where applicable).
We may update or revise content over time as products, firmware, tools, or regulations change.
5. Use of tools (including AI-assisted tools)
We may use tools to support research, organisation, drafting, editing, translation, summarisation, transcription, or formatting.
However:
- we do not operate automated "content farms";
- we do not intentionally publish unreviewed, mass-produced text as editorial content;
- final public-facing content is reviewed and approved under FPV School's editorial control.
Where AI-assisted tools are used, outputs may require additional verification, especially for safety-critical topics.
6. Media: images, graphics, audio, and video
Unless clearly indicated otherwise, media uploaded directly to FPV School properties (including images, graphics, audio, and video) is either:
- created by FPV School and/or contributors under FPV School's control; or
- lawfully licensed for use under the applicable licence terms; or
- used under a lawful exception, only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Where third-party media is licensed:
- we comply with the relevant licence terms; and
- we provide attribution where required or appropriate.
We do not intentionally reuse media from search engines or third-party sites without proper rights or permission.
7. Reuse of our own content across the Hub
FPV School is an ecosystem with multiple properties. Content may be intentionally reused, adapted, expanded, or republished across FPV School properties under common ownership/control.
This may include (non-exhaustive):
- adapting an article into a checklist, lesson, or script;
- reusing explanations across multiple properties with different depth levels;
- converting a tutorial into a course module, downloadable guide, or newsletter topic;
- extracting a definition into a glossary-style resource.
Such reuse is authorised and does not constitute plagiarism because it is reuse of our own original work within the FPV School ecosystem.
8. Community input and user contributions (inspiration)
We may receive questions, comments, suggestions, or feedback from users across FPV School properties (where community features exist).
From time to time, we may use:
- recurring themes, common questions, or issues raised by users as inspiration for new content; and/or
- short quotations or paraphrased summaries where relevant and fair.
Important clarifications:
- users remain responsible for their own posts and remain the authors of their own contributions;
- using an idea as inspiration does not create a right to payment or co-authorship unless agreed in writing;
- where a quote is clearly attributable to an identifiable user, we aim to either credit appropriately (where public and reasonable) or anonymise, especially where privacy suggests it.
Processing of personal data in community contexts is governed by our Privacy Policy.
9. Protection against content theft
To protect our intellectual property, we may use proportionate methods to detect unauthorised copying, such as:
- periodic searches for duplicate text;
- monitoring suspicious referrers or scraping patterns;
- basic anti-bot or rate-limiting controls (where applicable);
- evidence gathering (for example: timestamps, page history, backups, archives).
If we believe substantial portions of our content have been copied without permission (beyond short, properly attributed excerpts), we may:
- request removal or correction from the relevant website/platform;
- submit takedown notices or similar reports where appropriate; and/or
- take further legal or administrative steps where proportionate.
10. If you find our content elsewhere
If you suspect FPV School content has been copied without permission, please contact:
legal@fpvschool.com
Include:
- a link to the original FPV School content; and
- a link to where you believe the copied content appears.
We will review and take appropriate action where necessary.
11. Permissions, quoting, and fair use/fair dealing
We generally support reasonable quoting with clear attribution and a link back, where lawful.
If you want to reuse FPV School content beyond short excerpts, or for commercial republishing, contact:
legal@fpvschool.com
We may request details such as:
- what you want to use and where;
